Michael Lewis
CEO
Michael Lewis serves as CEO of Aransas Energy, bringing extensive leadership experience across the energy industry. A Professional Engineer with an MBA, Michael’s career spans oil and gas operations, gathering, processing, transportation, marketing, engineering, and project development.
He has held leadership roles with multiple successful energy start-ups and has led projects involving asset development, consolidation, operational efficiency, and complex energy infrastructure. His experience includes work with Zachry Construction, Fluor, Gulf States Gas, Southern Missouri Natural Gas, and United Gas Pipe Line.
Michael combines engineering expertise with executive leadership and a proven ability to develop projects and organizations from concept through execution and growth.
David McCarver
COO
David McCarver serves as COO of Aransas Energy, bringing decades of experience in oil and gas exploration, operations, and business development. A landman and graduate of the University of Texas Professional Land Management program, David began his career with Amoco Production Company before moving into independent exploration.
Throughout his career, he has led public and private drilling ventures and managed exploration projects across the Gulf Coast, offshore Texas and Louisiana, and the Gulf of Mexico. His experience spans conventional exploration, international projects, specialized drilling operations, and tertiary recovery.
David brings extensive operational leadership and a proven ability to guide energy ventures from exploration and development through long-term asset management.
Bill Brown
G&G Manager
Bill Brown serves as G&G Manager for Aransas Energy, bringing more than 40 years of experience as a petroleum geologist across conventional and unconventional oil and gas exploration.
Bill founded Creede Exploration Company more than 30 years ago, leading conventional exploration projects throughout West Texas, the Mid-Continent, California, and the Rocky Mountain region. His experience also includes evaluating and investing in resource plays through working interests, royalties, and mineral interests.
In addition, Bill has overseen unconventional exploration projects in the Appalachian Basin, including West Virginia and Pennsylvania. He brings Aransas extensive geological expertise and decades of hands-on experience evaluating exploration opportunities across diverse producing regions.
Dale T. Wilson
CFO
Dale T. Wilson serves as Chief Financial Officer of Aransas Energy, bringing more than 44 years of experience in energy finance, banking, and corporate financial leadership.
Dale began his energy banking career in 1982 with Bank of America and later helped establish successful Houston energy banking offices for Citibank Texas, HSBC, and Cathay Bank. From 1999 to 2003, he served as Corporate Treasurer of Devon Energy, where he was part of the finance team involved in a series of complex mergers involving six companies. During his tenure, Devon’s enterprise value grew from approximately $6.3 billion to $20.5 billion.
Dale earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Baylor University in 1982 and has participated in various professional energy associations throughout his career. He and his wife, Candace, reside in Katy, Texas.
